SearchAutoParts.com is reporting that Progressive intends to appeal the dismissal of its fraud case against Greg Coccaro and North State Custom.
"If it happens, I'll have the expense of finishing the trial," Coccaro says. "That will be nothing compared to the expense leading up to the trial. I'll do what I have to do. I won't quit now."
Coccaro's $15 million fraud suit against Progressive is currently in the discovery phase, so Coccaro is understandably distracted from his business, the article reports.
The case has already cost Coccaro upwards of $400,000. The Autobody Association of Connecticut and the Coalition of Collision Repair Excellence are leading efforts to help Coccaro pay for his ongoing legal expenses. "This collision repair industry owes him an un-repayable debt for his courage and perseverance in the face of great adversity," said a statement issued jointly by the two organizations. "We are hoping you can dig into your heart and pockets, and send a check in any amount you can afford."
If you would like to help Greg Coccaro with his legal expenses as he continues this fight, checks can be made payable to Greg Coccaro and can be sent to ABAC, 104 Cheshire Rd, Prospect, CT, 06712.
